Summit Prepping Vlad, a New Take on Dracula

While Summit Entertainment may be behind the Twilight franchise, their next attempt at a vampire movie may be slightly more appealing to genre fans. Brad Pitt's production company Plan B Entertainment and Summit have paired to make a new re-imagining of Dracula titled Vlad according to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision Blog.

Vlad centers on Dracula as a young prince; he is known to history as Vlad the Impaler, the man behind the Dracula myth. The article says that the script comes from actor Charlie Hunnam, with music video director and photographer Anthony Mandler in talks to direct the project. Mandler's reel so impressed the execs at the company that they put Vlad on the fast track.

With Vlad, Summit hopes to make a "visually edgy and radical period movie that also will break a new talent." Pitt is producing with Dede Gardner. More when we hear it.

Sherwood Horror's Will Scarlet Cast

The cast continues to grow for John Regan's Sherwood Horror, a contemporary set reimagining of the Robin Hood legend with bite (aka vampires!), which we first told you about here.

Ex-con Rob Locksley (DJ Perry of Ghost Town, The 8th Plague, Blood Ties and Dog) returns home after a six-year absence to find his town under the rule of vampires. He must join forces with his old roughneck hunting buddies to wage war against the evil Sheriff and his horde of blood-suckers.

Newcomer Mike Powers is set to join Taymour Ghazi as one of Locksley's merry men. Powers will play Will, Locksley's impulsive younger cousin, who fronts a punk band "Scarlet Fever" in a small southern town. He also happens to be quick-witted and deadly with a dagger.

Powers is co-host of The Mike And Bob Show on 96x, one of the top rated radio talk shows in Virginia. Regan adds, "After screentesting different actors, it became apparent that Mike had the versatility and traits needed to bring Will Scarlet to life."

The film will be produced by DJ Perry under his Imaginative Endeavors banner. Regan will direct from his own screenplay.

so i wanted to get some white christmas lights for my room. my boyfriend and i have a relatively large room with 3 large windows and 1 extra large window and 2 closets. i'll take a picture once we get new furniture and the lights up but for now i was wondering if anyone had white christmas lights in their room and if they could share the pictures please?

Hey guys, I don't mean stirring up trouble or anything, Im a huuuge fan of Paramores music and they are truly one of the few bands that inspire me enough these days to pick up my guitar & continue writing music even when some ppl talk smack about todays music. Sooo this kinda came in surprise when I read 'Jerms' last tweet ranting about "how many terrible bands these days are using autotune' and how they should 'get another job'. I mean first I thought Id laugh it off but then again, why not have a NICE discussion about todays bands/ music? I know these kinda things can get ugly but it's seriously bothering me enough what he's said to dragg myself out of bed at 4 am and make this post.. Or maybe I don't have a life and just made it official who knows..

btw. my humble opinion is that as long as your having fun making music 24/7 without getting sick of it you cant be wrong with what you're doing. And about that autotune thingie: Ive heard alot of bands don't even KNOW they're using it for making a record because everything has to always be 100% 'perfect' these days and their production team doesnt even bother dragging them back into the studio to re-do some parts because that would be extra money spent and Ive also heard the music industry is a buncha greedy mo..... fins (grrreat now I want one!), so yeah. Then again I don't know what Im talking about, same goes for Hayley using autotune in the past (someone on this LJ comm brought it up a while ago anyways..). Sooo, what do you think? And also, do you think what Jeremy said is just wrong or is it just me and Im just being way cranky at 4 am and you'd suggest I shut up and go back to sleep? Not saying I don't respect his opinion as much as Im gonna have for all you guys opinions!!
